Re-Opening of the WTC PATH in 2003 : The first PATH train from Hoboken to the WTC since 9/11/2001 was run on 11/23/2003. Since I was on the last PATH train from Hoboken to the WTC on 9/11/01, I made it a point to be on the first one to run to the new station. I took these photos on 11/23/03. The platforms are exactly where they were. In fact, although they were rebuilt, they were still standing under the rubble. In the 5 years since the station was reopened, PATH has done nothing at all to improve the station. The exit has been moved 3 times. There are no escalators from the platforms as there used to be, and there are no restrooms and no subway connections. It's a disgrace and a slap in the face to the tens of thousands who use the station every day.

Helicopter & Plane collide in Hudson : A tourist helicopter and a small plane collided over the Hudson very close to Hoboken near the Frank Sinatra park. There were 5 Italian tourists on board the helicopter and it is believed that 3 people were on board the plane. These photos were taken about an hour or so after the crash. According to Mayor Bloomberg, there were no survivors. These photos do not show any debris but rather the search vessels. All of these photos are copyright protected and may not be copied in any way.
