The photo of the day!
This is my project where I post a photo taken that day to this "Daily Photo" gallery, which is linked to the Daily Photo community on Smugmug.
This project has been quite interesting for me and has had many benefits for me. I see more. I take better photos. I learn about photography. I have no training at all, so my technical skill is non existent, but I like to think I capture some interesting slices of life in our time. This was the first year of my daily photo project. Art in the Chambers Street IND subway station. It is part of an art project, "Oculus" installed about ten years ago. The project has mosaics from photos of real eyes of New Yorkers as well as this mosaic. A quick google search will reveal more about the project ( and better photos of it...). My 8/28 photo is of two of the eyes that are everywhere in this very large subway station.
On another note, I saw a nice fat rat on the tracks in Brooklyn, but he scurried away before I could get my camera out. I think I will start a gallery called "Rats in the subway"....hehehe.....
