This is the second year of my taking Daily Photos and posting one to the Daily Photo gallery each day. The photo you see was taken the day it was posted ( with very few exceptions so far in the second year and no exceptions in the first year). The second year started on March 6, 2009.

You can see the year one gallery here: http://inourtime.smugmug.com/gallery/4468382_VLaHW/1/485853915_kBMcj

InOurTime > November 8, 2009 Daily Photo.

Hanging around.

These workers were dangling about 20 stories above ground at the W Hotel in Hoboken.

I have no idea what they were doing. Perhaps window washing, but I don't know. I watched them for about 5 minutes to see if they were in trouble or not, but I couldn't tell. One kept pushing a stick against the wall to push himself out further and swing closer to the building. The other one did nothing.

The San Remo on Central Park West.

I shot 191 photos today and it was hard to pick my Daily. 3 or 4 others would have been good as well. I'll put them in the runner's up gallery.

Part of the huge crowd making their way to the ticker tape parade up Broadway for the 2009 World Series Champion New York Yankees!

New York Yankees 2000 World Series ticker tape parade marker.

Inscriptions like this are embedded in the sidewalk along lower Broadway ( AKA The Canyon of Heroes) to mark the date and occasion of every ticker tape parade held.

They'll have to add a new one after tomorrow's parade for the 2009 World Series Champion New York Yankees!

The Empire State Building.

Election Day. This is the third election for Hoboken Mayor within the last 6 months. The regular Mayoral election takes place in May, (Why May? I have no idea.) Then there was a run off in June. The new Mayor took office on July 1 and was arrested and resigned within the month for alleged corruption. So we have an Acting Mayor for now. The election for Governor was also today and the Governor lives in Hoboken so lots of his campaign workers were around too.

There were many campaign workers for the different candidates around the PATH station and on all the corners for a few blocks leading away from the PATH. There were about 7 candidates. Anyway, I took a shot of this guy. That is the weekly seasonal farmer's market in the background.
InOurTime > All Souls Day 2009 Daily Photo.

Full moon over Manhattan.

Hand held shot, heavily cropped. Desperation shot.
InOurTime > All Saints Day 2009 Daily Photo.

Bethesda Terrace passageway. Shot yesterday.

I wasn't ready for the time switch today. Dark at 4:45pm ugh.
InOurTime > Halloween, 2009 Daily Photo.

The "Angel of the Waters", Bethesda Terrace fountain, in sepia.

I think this is one of the better shots I have taken of this statue.
