This is the second year of my taking Daily Photos and posting one to the Daily Photo gallery each day. The photo you see was taken the day it was posted ( with very few exceptions so far in the second year and no exceptions in the first year). The second year started on March 6, 2009.

You can see the year one gallery here: http://inourtime.smugmug.com/gallery/4468382_VLaHW/1/485853915_kBMcj

InOurTime > June 8 2009 Daily Photo.

View as large as you can get it.

This is just a fun shot taken on the iPhone with a pano app. It takes practice and this is the first one I took so it just really gives you an idea of what you can do. It works much like my Kodak v705. You have to line up the next shot with the previous one but you can do up to 12 I think, as compared with 3 on the Kodak, ( which is of course a real camera as opposed to a cell phone camera).

It does give you a more or less pano view of the area. That's J & R Camera World with the big Canon signs on the side of the building.

People traditionally leave their sandals at the top of the stairs leading to the beach at Fire Island. It wasn't quite beach weather....mid 70's and windy but it was still a nice day.

The ocean at Fire Island Pines. The waves don't get too big out here but these seemed interesting. It wasn't warm enough to swim in though.

Rain soaked dirt road beside the walk in Fire Island Pines. Lots of rain today.

Taken on my iPhone

This schooner was tied up next to the floating barge museum which is visiting Hoboken so I grabbed a quick shot of it with the G9 on my way to the gym, holding a large cup of Awake Tea in one hand and the camera in the other...

Johnny Rockets in Hoboken.

It just seems photogenic to me. This was a rushed shot as I was in the street. I was also losing the light and dodging passers by.

The Empire State Building. A different view.
InOurTime > June 1, 2009 Daily Photo.

Grey tugboat on the Hudson at dusk. This tug was pulling a barge downriver.

It looks best as large as the screen. Check out the smoke coming from the tug.
InOurTime > May 31, 2009 Daily Photo.

Tugboat pulling out of Hoboken next to Pier A. Tugboats don't usually dock in Hoboken, this one is docking here on and off as part of a floating barge museum that is docked here for several days.
