It is a magnificent edifice that used to face the equally magnificent original Pennsylvania Station across Eight Avenue until it was knocked down in an unprecedented act of vandalism not seen the sack of Rome to build the existing Madison Square Garden which has the existing "Pennsylvania Station" beneath it.
